Philmi? Me? Totally!

Quirky at films? Totally! You see, this is why I avoid tags, and would rather be a creator!

This is a tag that Vitriplemdoubleu has tagged me with! He has not stated any rules of how to do the tag, except quote your quirki-ness with regard to the movie. So, as usual, I shall create some now! Muahahahahahahaha! :-)

a. I need to see a film in Sathyam – preferably every Saturday, but since we don’t have that many good ones that are released and considering I don’t get a ticket for a Saturday night show unless I book on Monday (which is way too much planning or my ishtyle); so, at least once a month, I have to go to Sathyam!

b. When I go to Sathyam, it is important to use the loo before the movie, else I end up highly pressurized during the most important scene in the film. The theater is cold, and I drink a lot of water ok, so sue me!

c. I have to buy some snack during the intermission, and a hot drink. What i buy is dependent on the company and who is buying :-D

d. At the end of the movie, I have nothing substantial to say about the movie, ‘coz I have just got out of Sathyam – something I’ve been wanting to do ‘for a long time’! So, movie review usually happens and is assimilated in my head by the time I get home (also, everyone’s opinions are out); except in exceptional cases where the movie took my breath away!

e. It is my dream to have a huge movie library at home. I watch all sorts of movies, and my laptop (until recently) was full with my movies.

f. The star cast is important, but so is the story. I look at details – choreography, camera movement, clothes, acting, continuity, direction details, script, songs lyrics, everything. Most of my opinion, if you care to listen, is best during the movie.

g. I cry, and I try not to show, but fail miserably. I cried even in Vaaranam Aayiram.

h. I don’t like to go to preview shows, ‘coz you don’t get anything fancy to eat during intermission!

i. I buy ‘thiruttu’ VCD sometimes – ‘coz I just have to watch the movie, and don’t get the chance to! :-(

g. I love ‘Romantic Comedies’.

h. I fall a little short of drooling at some actors!

OK, Enough is enough! I am going to stop here! I find I am ranting on and on, and you must be getting bored! :-)

My only rule:

- In the situation that we go to a movieĀ  at a future date, you cannot make fun of me after reading this post!

So, anyone wanna watch a movie? I wanna watch ‘Dil Kabbadi’… It has Rahul Bose!!! :-D

@Nikhil – Oh No! My evil intentions (of hoping to taunt u) r out! Oh No! :-D

Pirated – No No! They are actually very good print of the movie and cost half the price of the ticket…

  4. Nice collection of Quirkyness-es lol:
Btw, assuming Sathyam is a theatre in Chennai, what’s so special about it, that you ‘have to go’? Curious :)

  5. @A – Sathyam is a multiplex in Chennai. While there are others, this one is extremely classy.

Also, I grew up in the time when Sathyam was an old fashioned cushion seats and when they used to sell popcorn packets in the interval.

Now, even my NRI brother is amazed at how awesome it is! One has to experience it, what can i say!? :-)

  6. Don’t think you are that quirky!!! :) Bhargavi said she was gonna watch the movie “Dil Kabbadi” waiting for the review from her; probably will get a thiruttu DVD :)
